The Importance of Training

Now more than ever its important to be prepared. We live in tumultuous times where its common place to see riots, looting, and civil unrest. The crime rates are soaring, people aren’t allowed to go to work and the future is uncertain. This means that each one of us needs to make time to train and be prepared. Of course our focus is firearms training but its also important to learn first aid and how to take care of yourself and your family when the government isn’t able (or willing) to. Little things like keeping a fire extinguisher and first aid kit in your car could make the difference. Take the time to learn and practice new skills. Stock up on foods that have a long shelf life. Buy water purification systems. Keep a “bug out” or “go bag” in case you have to leave your home suddenly.

There are several ways to train with your firearms without having to expend any ammunition. This includes dry fire training, drawing from your holster, assuming shooting positions etc. Just please do it safely. When (dry) training with your firearm i.e. not actually shooting make sure there is no ammunition in the room that you are training in. Double and triple check that your firearm is empty and clear of all ammunition. Have someone else verify it for you. There is no room for mistakes when it comes to firearm safety.

We are happy to show you drills that will benefit your training regiment.

Remember, Always keep your firearm pointed in a safe direction, Always keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot, and Always keep the firearm unloaded until ready to use. If you follow at least one of these rules nobody can get hurt.

Stay safe and as always, please contact us if you have any questions at ncadefense@gmail.com
